Change for Kentucky Day at the Capitol

Join fellow Change for Kentucky members from around the state for a day
at the state capital in Frankfort, Thursday, February 17, 2005.

The day will be designed to make us more effective advocates. We will
learn our way around, observe committee meetings scheduled for the day,
meet with legislators and watch the Senate and House in session from
the chamber galleries.

Please be thinking about whether you might be able to join us for at
least part of the day. It will be a good opportunity for you to meet
other Change for Kentucky supporters from across the state.

Contact Libby Marshall or Lacey McNary from CFK/Frankfort for more information, of if you would like to volunteer to be a host or guide.

From the Ground Up

Here's what happened at this month's Fayette County CFK Meetup:

After a recap of Governor Dean's visit to Lexington, we got an
update on his race for DNC Chair. We discussed key Kentucky issues
such as Virginia Woodward's senate case and the Fayette County water
question. We ended with a Framing & Broadcasting Message workshop.

A special mention goes to our newest, growing Meetup in Lousiville, where 30 people came out Wednesday night. Louisville is working hard to build their DFA/CFK presence, and Craig Linderoth and Michelle Copeland are heading up a great Steering Committee. We expect good things from them.

Upcoming Grassroots Action--check back for full details:
Frankfort Action Day in February
and Fayette Country CFKers will be traveling the state to meet with other state groups
