Over the past two months, Change for Kentucky has grown from the second phase of the Kentucky for Howard Dean campaign into a recognizable and influential factor in the future of Kentucky politics. We will grow our numbers and our influence over the coming months, but it will take your continued energy and dedication.

It makes me proud as hell to read about your activities in Kentucky, and I hope other states (Michigan included) can learn from them.
We Need Dean Democrats to push out the Bullies, Liars, and Thieves that fill the halls of power under both major parties. I'm unquestionably a Democrat, and I've been inspired to run for State Representative by Howard Dean - a path that I wouldn't have dreamed of two years ago when I started a Master in Business Administration program at Michigan State University nor was I thinking of it until several months into my devotion to helping the Dean for America campaign. Once you peel off the covers of the Democratic Party, you see a lot of need for change - we cannot rest on our laurels and expect the existing politicians to help us - stand up and let's go kick some ass!

The Tennessee organization has been largely disorganized and dormant since our primary, so several of us are trying to pull the group back together and kick it into gear.
What folks have to understand is that the election in November is just one battle in an ongoing war against entrenched, corporate interests in this country. And while we need Bush out of the White House, President Kerry will not be able to change anything (not that he necessarily wants to) without a strong Democratic majority in Congress and the statehouses. We need good Democrats who will fight for the people, not the powerful.
Hats off to Change For Kentucky for truly grasping the struggle that Governor Dean talked about all those months on the campaign trail. The Dean campaign was not - and will not be - about Howard Dean himself. This campaign is about fundamental change from the grassroots level to put the power of government back into the hands of the people and away from the corrupt corporate interests that are bringing about the decline of our great nation.
I'm glad that CFK has seen that this is our true mission and that you have gotten great people to help carry out our true agenda.

In April my wife and I discovered at the March for Women's Lives that there are other Kentuckians with values we share. Sometimes it feels as though all of KY is in tune with Jim Bunning, Mitch McConnell and George W. Bush. Thanks for an opportunity to commune online with others who are members of the democratic wing of the Democratic Party.
BTW, I heard about the site from a Dean worker in NH. We need to get the word out here in the state.
